Technical and Spiritual Advisor HAYNES: 8th dan in karate...and already 45 years of training
Sensei HAYNES began karate in 1967. He obtained his black belt (1st Dan) in 1974 and he teaches the art of Karate since 1975. In 1992, he quitted his job as computer analyst in order to focus on teaching Karate, Kobudo and Tai Chi Chuan. His passion became his profession.
Amongst the many seminars sensei Haynes followed (in Belgium as well as abroad), he emphases the importance of his four stays in Japan (in Okinawa, birthplace of karate; Tokyo; Kyoto and Takatawa) both for assisting World Championships as chief instructor of the Belgian national team and for his own examinations.
Besides an exceptional career in karate, rewarded by several great Japanese masters (relatively rare in Europe), we’d mention that this kind and smiling man possesses two other black belts: a 1st Dan in Aikido and a 3rd Dan in Kobudo. In Judo he “only” has a brown belt (1st kyu).
